Force feedback for the next generation of humanoid robotics
Over eight months, our team is developing a force feedback upper-body exoskeleton suit for Minerva humanoids. The suit is designed to capture a human operator's upper-body motion while returning physical feedback from the robot, creating a more natural and responsive way to control a humanoid platform.

The project
The system will translate movement from the operator's arms and torso into commands for a Minerva humanoid. At the same time, forces measured at the robot will be reflected back through the suit so the operator can feel how the robot is interacting with its environment.
Our work spans mechanical design, actuation, sensing, controls, firmware, and safety. Across the eight-month build, we will move from requirements and system architecture through prototypes, integration, testing, and a final demonstration.
